An EdTech startup that addresses educational disparities.

Low-income students have barriers to obtaining higher education.
I am a first-generation, low-income student who has experienced education disparities. My high school had only 1 college counsellor for over 500 students. The majority of students were also first-generation, low-income students who did not know if college was a feasible option for them, how to apply to college, and above all whether or not they would be able to afford it.
I learned about Brown and incredible scholarship opportunities through a friend. Without receiving this help, I would not be where I am today. I am proud to say that today I am a first-generation, low-income student, daughter of immigrants attending Brown University on a full scholarship ride. Although I worked incredibly hard, I also got lucky to learn about the resources out there for students just like me.
All students should have access to a quality higher education. All students deserve to have access to the resources and tools that have the potential of transforming their lives, communities, and ultimately society.
